Free is a fun word,
A word I really like,
I have liked it
Since I was a little tyke.

Playing hide and go seek
What a fun time I had,
I ran for the base,
I ran like mad.

With shouts of free
And glorious laughter,
Bouncing off each
Neighborhood rafter.

Now that I am older
I still like the word free.
But it precedes "of charge"
To bring me glee.
