rain (the power to change), a prose

by Andrew S Adams

raindrops are falling on my world now this is a world so drastically different than yesterday Yesterday was dry hot and exhausting Today is the soul of a million souls pouring out covering a landscape with the lost hopes and dreams of those souls It gives new life to the lush green life so that it may have a chance to do what the previous soul could not do create something beautiful.

it is pouring harder yet i can isolate the sound of each drop from one another i can hear them say their hopes the dreams their wills They have changed today from yesterday like night can change the day into dark the rain is comfort it tells me that life will be alright that i should count my blessings after all their subtle melody is all they have and all they can do is serve others Not only that but they are under-appreciated they help me find a way through this madness through this storm that most people would say that the raindrops' very existance creates abrubtly the rain ends and the suns rays break through the clouds of my problems things are looking better now as the rain beads off the grass a crash of thunder is its satisfaction its being totally realized the lightning flashes as the sun sets behind the clouds and the storm fades to all but a remberance of what had just passed.

Fantastic. It bleeds. I love the contrast and the silent end.
