shines at night by Andrew S Adamsthe sun shines at night
where it lies to me-
says "come hide in my light-
i promise that none will see"
i try to hide from this world
in the dark and great beyond
with a sky so big- you'd think i'd run
but it's no use- hiding from the sun
"i will protect you, keep you warm-
how can you resist?"
he says it with that chilling face
that smile- with a twist.
but, weak and alone,
i try what he describes
as "the greatest thing i'll ever know"
"this lunar paradise"
he says "come, hide in my light-
i promise none will see"
now, the enslaved spectacle of night
the sun hides behind me. 07/20/2002 Posted on 07/20/2002 Copyright © 2025 Andrew S Adams
