Song Of Solomon by Melissa ArelAs I watch you stand there
the rays outlining you
in a silhouette,
the greek gods
writhe in envy
for a more perfected temple
can't be found.
A prince among thieves;
a rose among thorns,
Creation sits
and stares in wonder
with the sun's burning adoration,
as your vessel
G l o w s
like polished bronze
chiseled
in gold,
refined
in fire.
The pale Moon's passion
is infatuated
as it circles
in Its eternal orb,
cherishing
your every move,
pondering
on your every thought
and soaking in
every glance.
A pillar of strength
lies in your arms
as you reach for me,
and I run to you
for my Love has been awakened
from Its slumber by you
and you alone.

Posted by Ken Harnisch on 02/07/03 at 08:16 PM I recall a conversation once about the most sensual Book of the Bible...and now, i do seem to recall the conversationalist....and the conclusions reached that all led to the Song of Solomon. |
