Missing in Action

by John Harder

Life is passing me by
I avoid doing many things
I wonder why
but I'd rather fly
on outstretched wings
Feel the air underneath me
Gravity cannot hold
Tiny people below I see
the size of ants
All around me
I hear gregorian chants
but no one's there
I open my eyes
and I'm back down here
with nothing to do
and everything to fear
Reality bites

'reality bites'.. yes, it most certainly does, but this poem doesn't.. it was great :)
