Sprig Gleaning

by David R Spellman

Am I so different
that I’ll leave all this
other mess for you,
preferring to see it
grow shoots and twigs
which are meant to be
left alone and who am I
to say otherwise while
choosing to take this
wayward path only
to wander amongst it,
to feel them bloom or
just lay under there with
eager feet, barely aware
that I have walked
yet miles upon miles,
unknown how many
more remain to go
or to wherever their
grass and wildflowers
will sweep me away...

Yeah, but does she do windows? This one reminds me of that dreaded job jar, hahaha!! Good stuff Dave. Peace...

I appreciate someone who allows nature to take its course. Clever one, Dave.
