Unending: Four: First Wizard

by Dana E Brossard

Lighting crashed,
Screamed and bolted.
Thunder echoed,
Rolling and crushing.
Flame scorched,
It burned and tore them.
Yet still they came.

Spears flew,
Splintering and breaking.
Axes hacked,
Ripping and cracking.
Arrows pounded,
Piercing and snapping.
Yet the walls stood firm.

Wind howled,
Bit and grabbed.
Rain fell,
Slicing and Beating.
Earth shook,
Cracking and breaking.
Yet still they came.

Hours raced,
Dancing and Laughing,
Days vanished,
Whipped by and away.
Walls crumbled,
Fell apart and exposed.
Yet he was no more.
