Protecting the Thief by Glenn CurrierFor too long your neediness has decided and divided my days. Your grandiosity fooled me, gathering my fine chaos smothering my arder with order.
What was my part in your conspiracy? Love of money or ivory tower, cars, status or power - all cracks in the crust of self exposing my soul.
You cunning combatant in this time war, you boss, pride, profits, rage of rejection, efficiency and objectivity
You thief of my moments with plants, prayers and poets, Bach, Whitney, Rumi, and Rohr, with birds and cats, clouds and seas lover and friends, grass and trees.
I am your protector and you - my thief.
