imperfectly

by Melissa Arel

i love you
and love you so, imperfectly
i have been bred and educated in such a state..
i have been wrought and tried to be found true in my love for you
but yes, imperfect as it is; it is justified..
in the slightest touch of your hand upon my thigh
or the fullest kiss upon my forehead..
but has Love no imperfections? Love is but Love.. wholly and thine.
imperfect as i am, i am yours if thou wilt have me..
solely, truly, and imperfectly.
