Deep Calling Unto Deep

by Ken Harnisch

Once, you put it this way
“Deep calling unto deep”
Pure poetry brought up in the fishing net
Writhing amongst the opaque words
And obscure verse
You knew I loved you then
But much more subtle than the breeze
And darker than the waters that we trawl
You kept your silence well

Sometimes, on a silver bay
When the blue moon dances on the waves
You will hold me in the summer night
You will let my kisses grace your lips
Slip happily inside my open arms
And it’s then I know
Just what you meant
“Deep calling unto deep”
Love whispered ever softly
But profound.

Saw this on the home page and after reading it I must say it is quite lovely. You have such a way with imagery, a real pleasure to experience this today!
