You've Touched a Part Of Me

by Melissa Arel

You've touched a part of me that I've hidden away
That I've covered up
And tucked behind my curtain of insecurity.
You've brought out an essence of womanhood
That I never knew existed.
You've noticed whats others have neglected
You've seen what others have missed
You've looked deep beyond this earthen vessel
And have captured the very spirit of my heart.

You've taken my hands off my eyes
And instead have held onto them
Walking me through my fears.
You've taken my hands off my ears
And instead have whispered
Soft and tender words to calm my soul.
You've taken my hands off my mouth
And instead have placed your life-giving lips
Over mine and birthed love into my body.

You've shown me the person I've forgotten
The passion I've repressed
And the fire I've let dim away.

You've rekindled a romance
With a gentle touch
A sensual whisper
A devilish glance
And a sensitive heart

You've opened me to a world
Of life, love, and other mysteries.
