I never thought I'd cry
at the leaving of another soul
but there they were
the tears
streaming down my cheeks
glistening in the shadowy light
of the tv screen
cuddled together

I silently wished
he'd never leave
yet from our embrace
he sadly broke
until tomorrow
when we can be
reunited
