Cheryl: shiver

by Andrew S Adams

I sit quivering there
in the cold afterburn
the night with my lover
and fear too, i would learn
the words that have all meaning
have not words at all
but expressions in my feeling
at words, they find a wall
passion in my heart
lust, in my head
you, next to me
you, in my bed
love for us alone
i am now free
to know what i have not known
our bodies lay.

sweating, breathing us
tangled alone upon my bed
and giving in to lust
as our lips meet, i tremble, hold back
knowing i want this more
but as i attempt to retract
you force me closer; i am forced to explore
i touch you, we shiver
as the world drifts away
i touch your lips again
as creeping in is day
the sun rises now
through the wonderous dream
an image of us
sitting in first passions steam.
