a million stars in the night sky
one fell to me;
close by...
but this star was wishing
to find it's home again
but she was a being
unseen and divine
i tried to keep her here
in my mind
keep her away from what she
may come to be
and now all i see
is the image
of my own need
and my own greed.

i just want her now
to be free.
