A Typical Miracle

by Ronald A Pavellas

My daughter now rests
Her calm and beautiful profile
Belies the powerful forces
Preparing her body for emergence of her child.

We, her family, are here
In awe
Of her strength
Of her resolve
Of her courage

She now labors again
Practiced breathing and sighing
Bring us with her
Into her magical place

Soon there will be new person in the world

A miracle

It happens all the time

Our children begetting children. Miracles come in threes .... we bear children, our children grow up and conceive and they bear children. What a wonderful outcome, and the family tree just keeps on rolling. You've said something beautiful here in very few words, Ronald.
