look at the leaves by Andrew S Adamslook at the leaves
forever green
on plastic trees
have you seen?
have you seen otherwise
the ones that sharply contrast
the light blue skies
the leaves that dont last?
sure, they may brown in time
but now they're a burst in color
is it beauty by design
or by another?
in any case i feel the cool
the signs that summer is fading fast
that a season will come new
even if it might not long last
i feel the crispness
as the leaves fall from their homes
and i just think this:
while they may fall, they are not alone. 12/20/2001 Posted on 12/20/2001 Copyright © 2025 Andrew S Adams

Posted by Rommel Cruz on 12/11/02 at 03:46 AM nice, i like the ending so much. "as the leaves fall from their homes... while they may fall, they are not alone." it somehow gives me that little bit of hope(?). i'm a leaf... |

Good one. Yes, it's was fall knocking at your door. And it's on it's way later. Soon to be cool again, looking forward to that. Jean |
