Upon Wings Of Glass by Mae D Moreysunlight,
grass golden, and tan,
flowing like waves
upon a sea of earth.
the horizon holds
purple hills
mauve mountains
and an azure sky.
the comforting branches
of the forest,
its canyons and
caves behind me.
the nearscape holds
placid waters
of a cool lake
rippled by breeze
the meadow sings
with light
and the laughter of wind
as i ride the thermals
seeming to float
upon wings of glass

Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 06/25/08 at 02:31 PM Congrats on POTD! This is a lovely place you are floating - I really liked the "sea of earth" phrase. |

Posted by A. Paige White on 06/25/08 at 05:36 PM "the nearscape holds" line tagged my imagination. This is such an artwork of words, to me it has a misty html of tranquility underwritten throughout. Congrats on POTD! |
