Corners & Margins by Julie Adams
As ink betrays paper
I drop words into
lines that
restrict my pen
lines that
can't support my
instability
unknown what words
will slip
fall
plunder
into open space
I am measured by lines
lines that fail to sustain
solid words
solid thoughts
solid images
as they plunge
from thick air
from thick lips
from corners
where secrets are kept
where we realize who we are
and learn to keep it from others.
