Alone, Yet Not Alone

by Audrey M Scott

Thirsting of each other our
spirits meet, dance,
twining slowly in mists of
moon-beam maypole,
our hands reaching from afar,
touch and caress into each others
heart with new dawning.

A love is born, deep, serene and
passionate,
blest in soft moonglow,
crowned in sun's glory and
kissed by twinkling stardust.

A radiance, newly felt
in hearts fluttering
like wings of butterflies in
frantic flight,
sending waves of unseen message
known in the
heart of the other.

Watered and nurtured in
written words
treasured like love letters bound
in ribbon
of purple violets.
Fragrance captured like
echoing call of haunting
wolf-song, held
in each others heart forever.

The lilt of our love-song
shining pleasure in face and soul
though we abide aloneĀ….
yet not alone,
our spirits linked eternal shall always
know each others voice of love.
