Tear the stands off the walls
Tear them off the stands
Tear them off the covers
Take them down off their pedestals and they are NOTHING!
illusions, dreams, fantasies
No longer people, just pictures
they don't speak
they don't move
they are just pictures And yet we listen to them
as they tell us how to look
how to act
how to live
They say nothing, yet we listen
and we try to follow at the cost of our wealth
of our health
of our lives
We risk it all because pictures which don't speak tell us to!
Prove to me that we are the most advanced society
where pictures tell us more than our friends, our families, our religions, our beliefs

They say a picture is worth a 1000 words
...I guess a 1000 words aren't worth much these days
