no water for Gunga Din by Charlie Morganwakened: third jangle of the alarm hit my ears,
crashes like a bowling ball on top of my head.
another morning and a battle with the sunlight.
all comers attempt to convince me i'm not real,
presidents and deans nod at my suggested ideas.
other faculty lemmings nod as ocean nematodes.
youth register for classes and abruptly don't go.
thinking that up is down, in is out and won't will;
pulling their pants down along with their morals.
happy are the ignorant and they shall be legion.

translate this to other "beating ones head against the wall" scenarios. The last line pretty much finds the bullseye. (drat....)
