of babes... i step outside to have a cigarette... i hear "Mom!!!"... i go to put my cigarette out and go inside and she comes running out and very profoundly tells me, "i'm hot, i need to be out in the Earth"... all i could do was smile... then she proceeds to tell me about the North Star again... yesterday she said, "Mommy, your eyes are the color of wonder"... i can only wonder what that means... i could be having the worst day of my life, and that little kid can make it all better...
