On "Freedom in the rain"

So I posted a new poem after a month-long hiatus. It's not really much. Someone even asked me what my point was. I dont blame him though. I think it's a weird poem especially under the circumstances I wrote it.

I wrote a majority of the 2nd stanza last Friday. The 1st stanza I thought of while in bed last Saturday (I didn't write it, just played with it on my head). Then I put them together last night (Sunday) because I was bored. Then rearranged... reworded... posted.

It actually started as a negative poem. But I thought, I don't want it to be negative. People will be reading it so I might as well make it something a bit positive that they may somehow benefit from. That's why the last stanza is a bit different from the first two. Plus I was getting tired and I couldn't really think of a way to end it. So I took the shortcut and wrote the last stanza to be finished with. LOL. I'm terrible at endings.

As I have already mentioned, it wasn't really suppposed to impart a positive message. I don't even like rain that much. It makes me sleepy. So I don't definitely find anything "spiritually positive" about the rain. I know it's important for water and stuff. But that's it. I don't really equate it to soul's cleansing. And yeah, I'm allergic to rain. Don't bother asking.

As I said to another reader, "rain doesn't make me happy. the poem is a lie brought about by my exercise on imagery". Seems the exercise did well. *shrugs*

Now I just spoiled the mood for the poem's readers. hahaha.
