Comments on My Poem

I was going thru my poems and noticed that all of them have comments, except one! I cant blame people though, that one poem is just so uncommentable. LOL

I have 220+ karma points but it seems there are no more applications that I can vote for. Hmmm, 220, that seems to be a lot of comments/votes.

Speaking of comments, I think some people may find mine "weird". There are times I say something like "can i use a crayon" or "press 1 for self-pity, 2 for love" etc. Maybe that's why not many people read my poems. Maybe they think my writings are a joke (maybe they are. lol).

I think I'll be gone again. By gone I mean, be "poetically" inactive. Oh well, I never was a prolific writer.

I realized that praise looks good on my library but it's not always what people really think. Some people sugar-coat their comments. I sometimes do.

3 years at PPS

So it has been more than 3 years now since I first joined PPS. When I joined, I wasn't really serious. A friend of mine was a member that time and was just intrigued/challenged into joining. I can't recall if one can rate back then already but I do remember one cannot comment on poems. The top 50 back then was the most recently read I believe.

My 3 years at PPS is not really productive. I only wrote less than 30 and they're all posted here. For long periods of time I will go into "hibernation" only to return again and post a few poems before disappearing once more.

But I don't think I'm that awful of a writer. My poems still get decent comments and ratings. My poem (Not) Your Usual Shower is among the most commented on and even got a POTD.

I know I have grown as a writer. When I compare older works to my new ones, I can see the difference. It's not much, but still I improved (or at least I think I have).

I wish to improve more, but I know I will have to read and write a lot. Sadly, it seems that I'm not one of those people who can find inspiration from nothingness. Such persons are truly and remarkably gifted.

I hope to be able to experiment and try different topics and styles, though I admit it seems that I lack both the patience and talent to do so.

I wonder what the next days, weeks, months, years, will bring me...

i find it weird that people will ask in their pages "to please rate and comment on my poems. i definitely appreciate it blah blah blah" yet they dont even bother to say thank you or anything. i mean if they really appreciate it they should make it known by acknowledging the comment. a little thank you note wont hurt....

The Return of the Lady of the Seven Sins

well i was supposed to write a poem but when i opened my notebook, i saw my incomplete "Lady of the seven sins" poem. I checked my pc for another version of it then decided to post it even if is not complete. i hope it's worth the space.

memory is a time waster?

if "time is short and should be cherished" and "We can not afford to waste it" then are we not wasting time by choosing not to remember how we spent it? how can we cherish and give importance to something we push aside in the back cornners of our minds? just a thought. =)

I've been wondering about the groups i've been seeing at member's pages. And curious as i am, i checked those groups (and the members) of course. lol.

i was a bit surprised at the members of one group. why? i dunno. lol. maybe because so many in my friends' list is filled with people in that group. lol.

ok, you can see im in a jolly mood. and no it doesnt have anything to do with the groups. just plain jolly. =p
