I know there are times when all seems hopeless and doomed. But I have learned that it is not so. It is a state of mind. No one ever said life would be easy. No one ever gives you instructions on parenting in a challenging world. And as a parent, I have never given up on my children and the challenge at hand, as difficult as it has been and will continue to be. I am there for them. Robbie is now 23, Melissa 26 and David 31.I have 8 grandchildren now from my two sons.Melissa is content to be a fabulous aunt and sister and is certainly, without a doubt,a blessing to me as a LOVING SWEET AND LOYAL daughter. We are all struggling together and independently as a family clan.My prayers have been recently answered especially concerning a rift that developed with my oldest son.The rift is over(resolved) and all of my family is now doing better than ever.Robbie is closer to his sister, though and recently visited her in our wonderful Carolina mountains. We love North Carolina's natural beauty. So I have a few pics to share of them at Moore Cove Falls and Looking Glass Falls and some at Appalachian Mountain Ski Resort with Melissa and Robbie and some of their friends(which are also the children of my former colleagues :)from my former teaching career).

Lyrics:

"All That's Dead May Live Again"

We light our candles and join hand in hand

Open our hearts that we'll understand

Come together family and friends

That all that's dead may live again

Can we bury the hatchet and open our doors

Forgive what we can and end these sad wars?

Pick up our shovels and close the poles in

That all that's dead might live again

The blood of our anger, the curse of our field

Once at a distance now has drawn near

All that we've built up is dust on the ground

A circle of sorrow comes round

We light up our candles and kindle our hope

And pray those that have faith, these horrors can cope

We come together family and friends

That all that's dead might live again

baby talk
01/15/2014 02:39 p.m.

The twins will be a year old in February. They are the happiest, healthiest babies I have ever seen[prayers answered].This was recorded this past August when they were 6 months old.We babysit at the lake in our RV for a week, their parents came part of that time as we were watching after the babies [to enjoy the lake too and with the older siblings].*On a side note, when I think back when I first joined Pathetic, I had NO grandchildren. Then my first grandchild came from another broken relationship which in a matter of a few years, 3 more were born from our blood. One year later, it went from 4 to 8,2 of which also came from another broken relationship. Now, they are all my grandchildren.I love them all...and they love us....couldn't ask for more....I thank God everyday.

....music to share with you
01/13/2014 12:41 p.m.

Thanks to our friend Natalie, for making these tracks easy to share....I have soundcloud but have been too busy to mess with it....Anyway, finally got my banjo back...I am amazed how easy it is to play compared to guitar[at least it seems that way to me]...sounds so good and we are learning to play and sing RRE songs..."Little Bit of Me" is very similar to a "lullaby" of sorts that I made up that I use to play to my babies and we have already learned "Bird in the House"...I realize no one owns these musical building blocks....in their infinite arrangements...and it is so healing

very entertaining- "Zita Sings The Blues" created by artist Nina Paley
