All Fall Down
03/13/2014 01:49 a.m.
)
Music and it's message isn't always pretty....Kurt Fortmeyer is a newly emmerging singer songwriter in the Nashville scene who just happens to be one of Wade's old close college friends{and still is]....Anyways,his song "All Fall Down"has a video created and performed by D13.... I usually avoid this kind of stuff....it is not uplifting like most of the newgrass*jamgrass*bluegrass... this is powerful but reminds me too much of my first husband who was a Viet Nam Vet junkie....

Maybe we'll go to the zoo today! We have been babysitting the twins since Thursday.Robbie and family came Saturday and spent the night and we watched the game and Walking Dead[well, they did anyway, lol].Then I find out my oldest son's family has been without power for 3 days from the recent snow and ice storm that hit in Carolina[fortunately didn't effect us.]Power is expected to be restored by this Wednesday. They have no water because the well pump couldn't run...they've been staying warm by candlelight and wood burning in the fireplaces of their 1910 farmhouse. When I found out, I immediately found and booked us 2 hotel rooms for a few days at the Quality Inn for $55 bucks a night, thanks to Priceline. The rooms were hard to find and I was very lucky to get them in the first place. I had called several places that were all booked....there are power crews from all over the place....40,000 still without power. So here we are in Asheboro and I sure hope the zoo has power....the weatherman says it will be in the 70's today. The weather has been gorgeous these past few days...but rain is coming in midweek. I am currently Affectionate

Two Translations
03/03/2014 05:44 p.m.
Two translations of John 3 vs 1-13
And there was a man of the Pharisees, Nicodemus his name, a ruler of the Jews, This one came unto him by night, and said to him, 'Rabbi, we have known that from God thou hast come -- a teacher, for no one these signs is able to do that thou dost, if God may not be with him. Jesus answered and said to him, 'Verily, verily, I say to thee, If any one may not be born from above, he is not able to see the reign of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, 'How is a man able to be born, being old? is he able into the womb of his mother a second time to enter, and to be born? Jesus answered, 'Verily, verily, I say to thee, If any one may not be born of water, and the Spirit, he is not able to enter into the reign of God; That which hath been born of the flesh is flesh, and that which hath been born of the Spirit is spirit. 'Thou mayest not wonder that I said to thee, It behoveth you to be born from above. The Spirit where he willeth doth blow, and his voice thou dost hear, but thou hast not known whence he cometh, and whither he goeth; thus is every one who hath been born of the Spirit. Nicodemus answered and said to him, 'How are these things able to happen?' Jesus answered and said to him, 'Thou art the teacher of Israel -- and these things thou dost not know! 'Verily, verily, I say to thee -- What we have known we speak, and what we have seen we testify, and our testimony ye do not receive; if the earthly things I said to you, and ye do not believe, how, if I shall say to you the heavenly things, will ye believe? and no one hath gone up to the heaven, except he who out of the heaven came down -- the Son of Man who is in the heaven.
There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother's womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit. Nicodemus answered and said unto him, How can these things be?Jesus answered and said unto him, Art thou a master of Israel, and knowest not these things? Verily, verily, I say unto thee, We speak that we do know, and testify that we have seen; and ye receive not our witness. If I have told you earthly things, and ye believe not, how shall ye believe, if I tell you of heavenly things? And no man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man which is in heaven.

Lonecroft Farewell Unplugged Version
03/03/2014 02:21 p.m.
[song and lyrics written by Todd Sheaffer & Railroad Earth]
Lonecroft Farewell
the stakes are in the meadow . . the fields are overgrown
the winds of change are blowin’ through the place that i’ve called home
they’re diggin’ at the edges . . to build the power line
same old story . . but now the story’s mine
so build a fire & throw in . . the papers & the past
no need to try & save it now . . it’s never gonna last
it’s a starry night . . the moon is bright . . let’s call the old owl in
let him know we’re leavin’ . . say goodbye old friend
goodbye to the years here, they have flown
goodbye to the only home I’ve known
the wheels of the world are rollin’ thru
& if this door is closing’ . . i guess I’m rollin’ too
for 14 years my family . . walked these crooked floors
40 years before my father opened up the doors
a stony stand . . it all began 300 years before
what story is beginning? if this one is no more?
goodbye to the years here, they have flown
goodbye to the only home i’ve known
the wheels of the world are movin on’
& if this door is closing’ . . i guess it’s time i’m gone
feels like a wave that can’t be stopped
a coming day . . my heart will drop
feels like a war that won’t be won
. . without a gun
so goodbye bird & bear
goodbye tree & land
goodbye to all i know like knowin’ the back of my hand
i’ll walk the grounds & make the rounds
of this place i’ve loved so well
fire up the diesel . .
bid a last lone croft farewell
goodbye to the years here, they have flown
goodbye to the only home i’ve known
the wheels of the world are rollin’ thru
& if this door is closing’ . . i guess i’m rollin’ too
Todd Schaeffer -Entire Set - Benefit for Paul Berger...St. Augustine
Storms
soft thunder from across the meadow
rain buckets on the kitchen floor
no letter & the coffers empty
but all these storms i know we’ll weather
all these storms we’ll ride together
i never thought that it would be so hard girl
never saved up for a rainy day
never dreamed that we might howl & shiver
but all these storms i know we’ll weather
all these storms we’ll ride together
pick up your heart my love
pick up your branch & dove
jammin’ in the name of the lord
-we’ve got a hole to mend
-we’ve got a fire to tend
we won’t let these troubles grind us
we’ve got friends & prayers to mind us
we’ve got seven years behind us
long rumble comin’ ‘cross the meadow
rain pourin’ & the buckets full
sky crackin’ & the whole house shakin’
but all these storms i know we’ll weather
all these storms we’ll ride together
pick up your heart my love
pick up your branch & dove
jammin’ in the name of the lord
-my lady look alive!
-our ride will soon arrive!
lift up your eyes my dear
we need some light in here
jammin’ ‘til the jammin’s through
-we’ve got a hole to mend
-we’ve got a fire to tend
we won’t let these troubles grind us
we’ve got prayers on the road behind us
we’ve got heaven’s horses bridled
let it rain . . . we’ll let it rain . .
i love you girl . . let’s get this fire goin’
Where Songs Begin
Here we are, the place where songs begin.
Reaching out, finding what's within.
Finding the way back again to the place where the songs begin.
Finding the way back again to the song that never ends.
Here I am, ten years down the road.
with all I've learned, still I just don't know.
Finding the way back again to the place where the songs begin.
Finding the way back again to the song that never ends.
Salmon song, a journey just to die.
I've lost my fear, diving to the waves.
Finding the way back again to the place where the songs begin.
Finding the way back again to the song that never ends.
Mystery, feelings unexplained.
Patience, patience let the moment lead.
Listen, listen take a breath and breathe.
Faith and trust, the place where songs begin.
Finding the way back again to the place where the songs begin.
Finding the way back again to the song that never ends.
Goat
clock tickin’ on the chained man walkin’
headin’ up a county road
out of town
into the desert
carryin’ the weight of the old scapegoat
too much talk & rumor
someone gotta take the blame
take the scarlet thread on the neck
walk it out of town
somewhere far away
too much fear & trouble
somebody’s gotta go
take the weight on their back
walk it outa town like the old scapegoat
when u go
take the fear & violence with you
when u go
take the writing from the wall
let’s walk this goat around . .
let’s get him loaded down
let’s run this goat right out of town
o . . . . ‘fore the sun go down
too much loot in the palace
somebody gotta pay
with a naked neck
take the sharp off the knife
bleed the sins away
too much blood in the river . . .
somebody gotta go
take the hate on their back . . .
off the rocky cliff to the abyss below
when u go . . . take the fear & violence with you
when u go . . . take the writing from the wall
let’s walk this goat around
let’s get him loaded down
let’s run this goat right out of town
when u go . . . take the sin & darkness with you
when u go . . . we’ll fire our guns into the air
let’s walk this goat around
let’s get him loaded down
let’s run this goat right out of town
o . . . ‘fore the sun go down
one last look at the scapegoat
baggy-eyed & loaded down
shaggy-bearded, sad & broken
the old goat falls without a sound

Good morning to the Pathetic SuperFishbowl! How about some music? Wade is playing along with our new used electric Silvertone that has an awesome sound-especially considering we found it for $35 bucks at a pawn shop!Anyway, even though it is Saturday, we've been up since 5am. We put this on to crank up the day. Full set - Yonder Harvest Festival Ozark Ark. We were there...and it was even better being there hearing it live[because we didn't hear the background noise of people contaminating the recording]...oh how I wish I could just be a traveling Hobo going from show to show...but fortunately for us,we live in a time that allows technology to bring it to us in our living room either archived or live.....couch concerts through live broadcasting using MixIr, etc....what a transforming world in constant change
