Sample Poetry Submission by Dawn M WilliamsSadness binds my soul; barbed and rusted the wires cut and tear at my being.
Crystal teardrops form yet I am denied the blissful release.
Pride and anger boil over the
Edges of my subconscious
Forcing these feelings away
But for how long? How far away is far enough?
My waking world is filled with
Beauty yet my eyes are blind,
My senses dull.
My nights are filled with plaintiff cries of weariness and desolation.
Love is what this soul seeks,
Human companionship is what this physical being requires
Yet all that is sought
Is denied for fear.
Can you not see what this pain is creating?
What this denial is doing to my heart?
Remove the cataracts from Your eyes and view me as I am;
A lonely soul that seeks a friend,
A companion to view the beauty of this world as it is meant to be-
Not as I have created it.
