ii. a new arithmetic {double helix} by Richard Paezi had to learn that arithmetic well i had to learn the rules so that i could break them too complex are these formulas for such simple mathematics aggregate perceptions reduced by acute calculations lead to unbalanced equations, bruised pride, and broken hearts
i shed my skin again fresh, new and vulnerable greeting the ever changing caresses of probability i plot a new curve prescribe new postulates allow for variations in an ever growing system i push a little farther i dig a little deeper
stop. breathe. relax.
try to read between the lines see what role chaos plays learn to trust the instincts rediscovered in this calculus strain to hear the music that the numbers dance to allow the math to play itself as i hum along to the algorithm of my still beating heart
stop. breathe. relax.
feel the wave-form build below me carry me, the remainder to where the horizon intersects the parallels of dream and prayer plot this curve in higher dimensions the applied mathematics of pain, hope and vulnerability i shed tears of joy as exponents factor i sigh in wonder as our system grows
a double helix forms around us as your legs wrap around me i see the numerology reflected in your eyes, shining i shed my skin again i learn to dance to the music of the numbers we learn to hum along with the rhythm of our twin and beating hearts

Posted by Amanda L Marron on 09/07/04 at 05:16 PM wow what a way to connect writing in with math. i'm not a mathematician at all. i'm a master of the english language hehehe. |
