The cloud silhouette forms
A towering cliff, with a second
Horizon at the top.

If I could scale the sky,
Sit atop the dark mass,
I could see the world
Spread out at my feet.

Instead, I accept that
My place is down here,
With everyone else,
And so I decide to
Enjoy being in the world
Rather than just
Seeing it from afar.

Beauty that can be seen
Up close is better than
Beauty that is only there
When seen from a distance.
