There’s no Silence in the Night by Thomas K. HuntThere’s no silence in the night
Only scream of madness behind the light
Coming from the deepest hole
Coming from a blackened soul
Lost forever in space and time
Living in the darkness of the mind
There’s no escaping the dark and cold. cold prison
It’s all in the mind of a mind with no reason
So, you let the screams in like a long-lost friends because you don’t know any better
But the storms in your head are raging stronger and stronger as nothing comes together
There’s no silence in the night
Everything is wrong, and nothing’s right
You can’t see it, but you follow the sound
Sniffing around and taking chase like a good old hunting hound
You avoid the light because it hurts your eyes
All your life, you’ve lived with darkened skies
The sounds of madness that come in the night
Are the sounds of your life behind the light
It’s not your fault; there’s just something wrong
They just didn’t think it would last this long
There’s no silence in the night
All the light is locked down tight
The winds carry evil whispers that turn to shrills
You just sit back because you love the thrill
You’ve become blinded by the darkness in your mind
You’re too far gone
Your life is in another time
There’s no silence in the night
That’s wrong for me, but for you, that’s right
I’m up on the surface, avoiding black holes
It’s the place to be, and that everyone knows
I’ll take the sunshine and the silver moon at night
The warmth from their glows fills your soul just right
Take your lightless whispers and keep them in your head
It’s really not your fault
It’s just something that I’ve heard said
