I woke up
I got up
I started another day
Another chance to be on my way
I have faith; yes, I truly believe
The Lord always has something up his sleeve
Thank you, Lord; I do believe in you
Thank you, Lord, you're a cool dude

I wake up

When day turns to night with nothing more to say
I kneel beside my bed, and I begin to pray

Thank you, Lord, for what you've given me
Thank you for my friends and family
I've been blessed by your grace here on earth
You blessed me on the day of my birth

I'm who I am because of you
And the help from others that pulled me through
Without your love and comfort, I'd be lost
My sacrifices are worth the cost
Thank you, Lord, for showing me the truth
I am who I am because of you

When you gave us life, you gave us the world
You gave it to every boy and girl
You gave us the chance to live every day
Following your path every step of the way
There's so much more to say
It is the only way
