I’m not as dumb as I look by Thomas K. HuntI’m not as dumb as I look
I even read a book
I know how to spell
My spell check works very well
I’m not as slow as you think
Go ahead, just blink
I bet you didn’t see that
You just don’t know where it’s at
I’m not at all like you
That would be impossible to do
We can still pass through
It’s the natural thing to do
I’m not as dumb as I look; no need to get shook
I read that in my book
I may look dumb, but I know what I’m talking about
I’m surrounded by life and love that I can’t live without
I’m not dumb, but sometimes I go numb
When I look at the world we’re living in
Too many beginnings that have no ends
Too many enemies that should be friends
Too many promises that were just pretend
We’re placed here to live in harmony and peace
Some hang on tight to what others will never reach
I’m not dumb, but I don’t understand
Why we can’t live together hand in hand
I’m not as dumb as I look
I even wrote two books
I really can’t spell a word
That’s when my editor goes to work
