Can you imagine

this many years later

that at eleven after eleven

we'd still hush, like the instant

when the car crash settles, feeling for

fractured bones and making a wish that either

everything'll be fine or everything is indeed gonna

be much worse than it seems? We could maybe keep going or

we too could just grin and wave and disappear. Can you imagine?
