Have a Little Faith

by Thomas K. Hunt

We're taught we come into this world stained with the original sin
If you're a true believer, it can be washed away, and then you're born again
If you don't believe it doesn't mean we can't be friends
I have my faith, and you have yours that we'll face at the end

It doesn't matter to me what you believe
There's usually nothing up anyone's sleeve
Sometimes it matters what you leave
What you lose you can't always retrieve

It's not our fault we're brought into this world
yet this world is here for every boy and girl
Life is full of circumstances, advantages, ups, and downs
So many smiles and so many turned upside down

Belief can be a beautiful thing
Believe in love and all the joy it brings
Follow your heart and live in your mind
You'll be surprised by what you may find

Faith has to live inside of you
Belief in something is what you need to do
Without faith, there's nothing for you
Times gone by have proven this to be true

We come into this world, and we live then go
Where we go, no one really knows
The true believers will tell you that they know
When they leave this life, they'll finally be home

It doesn't matter to me what you believe
It does matter what you leave
Share your love and happiness every day
Have a little faith; it will help you on your way

We're taught we come into this world stained with the original sin
If you're a true believer, it can be washed away, and then you're born again
