It’s all happening in France,
They say: in a city you will
Never see, and in mountain air
You will never breathe,
Linked by railways you will
Never feel slide beneath you.

But physical exertion was
Never for me, and so
I remain where I am,
Repeating old mistakes,
Learning to laugh in Mandarin,
And hoping that my next leap
Will be the leap home.
