My Last Door

by Thomas K. Hunt

I just walked through my last door
I won’t be needing other doors anymore
I stepped into a light I’d never seen before
I think I said this is my last door

Lock that door and throw away the key
I’m going to keep you here inside with me
Your beautiful face glowing in the soft light
Your laughter echoing all through the night

Something made me walk through this door
I get the feeling that you know something more
It doesn’t matter for now; we’re locked in tight
This is going to be one hell of a night

I never imagined it could be like this
I stepped through that door into total bliss
I had the feeling you’d been waiting for me
I knew at that moment this is where I should be

I do believe in love at first sight
It was on the other side of this door tonight
You looked at me, and I looked at you
We knew exactly what to do

I think I told you to throw away that key
There will be no other doors for me
I walked through this one, and I could never want more
I think I told you upfront; this is my last door
