A fragile little flower
Whose roots run deep,
Deeper than can be
Guessed from the surface.

Petals flung wide like
Open arms; a heart that
Reflects the midday Sun;
A slender stem that is
Stronger than it looks.

A fragile little flower
That gets knocked down
But springs right back up,
Unafraid to bloom.
