I can’t promise you when
the rain will come
wash the smell from your hair,

how much more each day
you will learn to eat again, before
you will pass all you swallowed,

but don’t worry your knots of pleading thoughts
like they’ll come undone with you,

you can’t wait here
with only yourself to lose;
sometimes some times

are just worth getting through.
Hard days
can always catch up with you.
