I've seen the question
but never before felt so strongly
that I didn't know the answer
like a newly formed Adam
staring in wonder at Eve
without understanding, only instinct
and a need to adore you,
I'm in awe.

I would move a mountain for you
but you'd beg me leave it alone
so we'd have a place to be closer
to the sky.
I offered stars and you wondered
how we'd pass the constellations
into the future if you kept them.
You deserve the moon
but want it to stay where we
both can stare at the same point in space
while we're apart.

But if there was ever a woman that deserved it,
it is you,
because you deny it for the us that you see.

yet, you would tell me that you're undeserving
when I'm the one begging an angel
for just one more kiss.
