For the Joy of You by Brian Francis
To sit and hold you in my arms at sunset
With my heart so intently spent on you
To feel your fingers in my hair so gentle
yet their vibrations echo through my being
this small enticement more than I can handle
seems to build within crying for its release
this foretelling of later moments brings a calm
In the darkness to feel your body close to me
The graceful touching laid aside for the beast
To wrestle in passions’ rough embrace; like a battle
The yearning fulfilled then back to gentle caring
As I hold you in my arms and drift to sleep
My dreams remain of you, your coyish bidding
That invasion of my mind somehow refreshes me
In the morning the sun in its glory awakens us
Your beauty stifles even my notice of its rise
When your eyes awake to mine, a loving kiss
When we embrace to begin our day, a warming
Even as my day goes by, I dream, in wisps, of you
That taunt my attentions and divert my mind
Your texts your calls draw me back to home
