Technology has had leaps and bounds
I got another text from Kehoe today
His minds not quite sound

I sat down to a toasted cheese sandwich
and the overhead projector was all I could see
I opened my eyes in biology
to Edsel saying don't go pugh to me

So many memories that make us smile

There's always something that sends us back
There's so many things and that's a fact
We're all surprised by the picture hoarder
The last one started with you're out of order

The smallest things that mean a smile
are still sent long distance over many miles
Androids and apples place them at finger tips
Now and then we all get one from Rip

It may be a song we shared when it was brand new
or it could be a fool who got turned into a newt
We shared it all in four seasons of weather
We all cracked up when the fool got better

So many memories that live in our minds
Some sparked by a phrase that takes us back in time
Camped on an island and waking at the rivers dawn
Sun burned faces between the good looking bookends on the capitol lawn
