Flashes in Neon Red

by Brian Francis

Oh I’ve been there I’ve known sorrows without you
I’ve walked alone when there was no shade insight
Kept moving on because nothing could hold me
Living by day drowning in my sorrows all night

Jack and Jim are not so much into conversation
But better company just cannot be found
They warm your soul and distract your thinking
Leaving you wobbly and stumbling around

Ganga’s mist is so wonderful and so seductive
But thoughts of you are not easily chased away
Neon signs are flashing and sirens are screaming
I lay at night counting flashes; just a game I play

I dream of you when I close my eyes
My dreams come true until I realize
The things I’ve been believing of you
They just ain’t true, they just ain’t true
