in troubled moments
between wishes and
the breathing of worlds
i hope you find
solace and comfort
and smile for a second,
for there are few
rumored, and fewer
still i've seen
deserving of slivers of
silver linings
than you.

so when the earth catches fire
in spite of the cold
remember to warm your hands
knowing you are stronger
than the flames,
knowing you are an inferno
and you are worthy
of the peace that embers bring.

hold to yourself with ease
and be still and serene
and never lose sight
of the wonder you are.
