It's Part Of The Plan (Revisited) by Thomas K. HuntI'm on my way down, and I'm taking it slow
I crossed over the top a few years ago
I'm on my way down from the top of the hill
I'll never hurry, no I never will
It's okay; it's part of the plan
It's the same for every woman, child, and man
We all have our own hills to climb
and we'll climb them in our own time
If there's fuel in the tank and your head's still wired
just take your time; there's no need to get tired
Now there's snow on the top of the roof
It's thinning now, and I'm living proof
I'm the original model made right here
back in the fifties, fifty-seven was the year
Younger days of innocent times
A lifetime fills my mind
Look back I'm just a step behind
Go on ahead. I'll catch up in time
The way up seemed to fly by so fast
I want the way down to last and last
It's okay; it's part of the plan
You are you, and I'm who I am
We all have our own stories to tell
We all have something to sell
You've learned that some pains never let go
They grab your soul and forever take hold
They're with you every single day
So you see, the pain never goes away
If you don't know what I'm talking about
but if you know, there's only one way out
Take my advice, take it slow
Hold on tight and never let go
We're all living on borrowed time
We search for more, but there're no signs
We look for more, but it's impossible to find
All-time does is play with our minds
It's okay; it's part of the plan
It's okay to stretch out your hand
I'll help you with your hill to climb
We'll climb together in our own time
Sit back and enjoy the ride down
There's no need to wear a frown
Life is what happens every second of the day
Once it's used, it just fades away
I know I've heard someone say
save some for a rainy day
It's easier said than done
We're all running out of time with time on the run
It's okay; it's part of the plan
It's the same for every woman, child, and man
We all have our own hills to climb
We have to climb them in our own time
Sixty years have passed, reflections in the mirror
That boy has disappeared from younger years
He's still in here at the end of the day
Look closely; the eyes give it away
He's on the backside of the hill
Taking his time and he always will
He knows there's no turning back
He's on his own one-way track
It's okay; it's part of the plan
You are you, and I'm who I am
We all have our own stories to tell
Stories from heaven and some stories hell
