Another angel has taken flight
One more star to shine in the night
There are no words for the way we feel
Our sorrow wounds and will never heal

We remember her smile and the light in her eyes
Her laughter will ever echo across this northern sky
God could not have created a kinder soul
Now deep in our hearts is an empty hole

Her kindness spread to everyone she touched
For in their hearts she'll be missed so much
Her life goes on through her children's eyes
Through them she lives and will never die

The Lord has chosen the best of the best
Taken too early for her final rest
The sadness we feel is too great to bear
We silently think this is so unfair

In life, Monica was one of a kind
She'll forever live in our hearts and minds
Today and tomorrow, we are left with the pain
It will all disappear when we see her again
