Tears of Laughter by Thomas K. HuntTears of laughter and tears of joy
roll down the cheeks of girls and boys
That's what friendship is all about
The right ones walk in and they never walk out
Up in the garage on the second floor
We had to go high in order to explore
Venting each other while crying laughing tears
Still crying about it after all these years
You were fun to grow up with.....
You've stayed with me along my way
That's one thing I can always say
You're still my friend today
In the barn up on the hill
If you look it stands there still
All bent over and all worn down
Looks like it's wearing a frown
Poker nights with the tunes just right
Laughter under a smokey light
Throwing darts while on the run
all in the name of fun
There was nothing like a country cruise far away from all the news
Smiling as you take that ride that takes you to the other side
Windows down the air blowing through
cooling the smiles that came along for the cruise
You were fun to grow up with
A truth since the first day we met
That was the day it all began
I remember I shook your hand
We knew when to turn on the light
just before the edge of night
Learned how to run with the wind
Learned how to wait for a friend
You were fun to grow up with
There's no reason to doubt
You had something to give that I didn't want to be without
We had our wild oats to sow
We let the good times roll
We burned a few bowls, we made them glow
Rode in the chevy without any breaks
We learned from our mistakes
Some day I'll see your face
Some day we'll share some space
We'll sit and laugh again
We'll reminisce about way back when
Tears of laughter and tears of joy
roll down the cheeks of girls and boys
That's what friendship is all about
The right ones walk in and they never walk out
