Every Mood and Every Face by Anne Di Baguette
When life’s travails beset you
Dreams are scattered to the wind
If your soul is tired of caring
Please count me as a friend
Should your smile become an effort
Every turn present a wall
If the sense of something missing
Finally forces tears to fall
Those demons, they will taunt you
With lies they will dissuade
Though I haven’t much to offer
It is yours if it can aid
Though it seems such little comfort
When doubt’s thrown you aground
Should despair turn hope against you
If you need me, I’m around
I can’t fight your battles
Or even run your race
But I’m someone who accepts you
Every mood and every face
