It's okay, it's part of the plan by Thomas K. HuntI'm on my way down and I'm taking it slow
I crossed over the top a few years ago
I'm on my way down from the top of the hill
I'll never be in a hurry, no I never will
It's okay, it's part of the plan
It's the same for every woman, child, and man
We all have our own hills to climb
and we'll climb them in our own time
If there's fuel in the tank and your head's still wired
just take your time there's no need to get tired
I like salt and pepper on the top
It's thining now and it just won't stop
I'm the original model made in that year
back in the fifties when it all appeared
Younger days of innocent times
Now a bit more polished and refined
Look back I'm just a step behind
Go on ahead I'll catch up in time
The way up seemed to fly so fast
I want the way down to last
It's okay, it's part of the plan
You are you and I'm who I am
We all have our own stories to tell
We all have something to sell
You've learned that growing pains never let go
They drop their seeds and those seeds take hold
They grow new ones every day
So you see, the pain never goes away
If you don't know what I'm talking about
but if you know there's only one way out
Take my advise, take it slow
Hold on tight and never let go
We're all living on borrowed time
We look for more but there're no signs
We search for more but it's impossible to find
All time does is play with our minds
It's okay, it's part of the plan
It's okay to stretch out your hand
I'll help you with your hill to climb
We'll climb together in our own time
Sit back and enjoy the ride down
There's no need to wear a frown
Life is what happens every second of the day
Once it's used it just fades away
I know I've heard someone say
Save some for a rainy day
It's easier said then done
We're all running out of time with time on the run
It's okay, it's part of the plan
It's the same for every woman, child, and man
We all have our own hills to climb
We have to climb them in our own time
Sixty years have passed, reflections in the mirror
That boy has disappeared from younger years
He's still him at the end of the day
Look closely the eyes give it away
He's on the back side of the hill
He's not sure if he'll ever get his fill
He knows there's no turning back
He's on his own one way track
It's okay, it's part of the plan
You are you and I'm who I am
We all have our own stories to tell
We all have something to sell
