Nobody Remembers the Losers (revisited) by Thomas K. HuntNobody remembers the losers
There's only one that lives inside his mind
He looks at you from the mirror
He sees you every time
It doesn't matter the time of day
It's going to happen anyway
Nobody wants to be a loser
but it could happen any day
I've had my share of losses
Lord knows that I've been down
I'm thankful I'm still on my feet
My mind is still quite sound
I've been on the losing end my friend
Lord knows I've felt the pain
I never want to go back there again
Where no one remembers my name
Nobody remembers the losers
I think that's a shame
We all started out as friends
After all it's only a game
I'm sending this out to only you
What you've heard is nothing new
I don't know if I'm getting through
Sometimes I wonder if I ever do
Turn around and let it go
When it's time then you'll know
True loss is what you can't get back
It's gone forever and that's a fact
Everyone can be a loser
Come what may
It doesn't matter what you've heard
There's a new one every day
It's up to you to make your choices
Choose wisely my friends
Only listen to one voice
that's the one inside your head
Take your losses and then move on
You might as well because now they're gone
Find something new and make it better
Step outside enjoy the weather
Nobody remembers the losers
There's only one that lives in the mind
Close your eyes
You'll feel him every time
Everybody gets to feel that way
It could happen any time of day
Nobody wants to be a loser
We try to be winners every day
