What a glorious, extraordinary day
filled with love, opportunity, and potential!

I am not at a crossroads.
Nay, I am at the bottom of a hill.
I am at the beginning of an exciting journey,
right after rebirth.

I would much rather buy low than buy high.
I would much rather date a man with massive debt
who changes the way he lives and loves
or a prisoner in maximum security
who gets out and fixes his life
than a rich kid
who refuses to find a job
or a millionaire
who loses all home and all hope
and doesn't bounce back.
I would much rather date a nice person
who doesn't change
than a handsome man (or beautiful woman) who does
for the worse.

But as much as I am certain that some people don't change,
I am certain that those who change things in their life
will continue to get
comfort in discomfort
and certainty in uncertainty.

I welcome the certainty of change.
I love to chase after a moving target
of cheese
in a meditative labyrinth.

I love to think of the present as the past
and of the future as the present.

I will cherish 2017, the year I saw the life I had in escrow
and paid the earnest money,
my year of endings and beginnings,
my year of endless possibilities,
the year when Jupiter was born from Virgo.
